We are proud that our Foundation is involved in cutting edge research and that we are able to offer an opportunity for our patients to enroll in these protocols. If you are interested in becoming a patient volunteer please talk with your physician for more information about the most appropriate treatment for you. If you are thinking about taking part in a Clinical Trial, here are some important questions to ask: What is the purpose of the study? What does the study involve? What kind of tests and treatments will be done'? What is likely to happen in my case with or without this new research treatment?		What are other choices and their advantages and disadvantages? Are there standard treatments for my case and how does the study compare? How could the study affect my daily life? What side effects could I expect if 1 participate? How might these side effects differ from standard treatment? How long will the study last? Does the study require extra time on my part? Will 1 have to be hospitalized and if so, for how long? Will I have any extra costs? What kind of follow-up care is required as part of the study?
