Research for Life
Advances in medicine are a result of new ideas and approaches developed through years of research.

The Tower Cancer Research Foundation offers a variety of Clinical Trials relating to cancer and blood disorders. A Clinical Trial is a research program in which patients volunteer to participate in studies that offer new and improved ways to treat cancer patients and increase medical knowledge.

In addition to studying new drugs and treatments, Clinical Trials focus on new combinations of drugs already in use, as well as new ways of giving treatment. In many instances, patients can gain access to new treatments before they become widely available.
During its first year of operation, the Tower Hematology Oncology Foundation conducted six research studies involving 20 cancer patients in areas including breast, lung and colon cancer, and brain tumors. By 2003, the research activities of the Foundation had grown to include over 50 clinical trials involving over 200 patient volunteers with an expanded focus to include lymphoma, leukemia, gastric, and pancreatic cancers.

Our ongoing commitment to the community is to provide research… for life.
