The Ronnie Lippin Cancer Research Grant awards $50,000 to support one junior faculty physician as he or she begins a career in academic medicine. We support physician scientists who envision a career in academic medicine focusing on a bench to bedside approach. With the current shortage of federal funding, these funds are much needed to support the future of cancer research.
The following research projects have been funded by the Ronnie Lippin Cancer Research Grant:
- Targeting Prostate Cancer Stem Cells with Telomerase Interference
(Research conducted at University of Southern California)
- Anti-Neu5c Antibodies for Breast Cancer Detection
(Research conducted at University of California, San Diego)
