Dr. Lee was born in Hong Kong and emigrated to the United States around the age of nine. He graduated from the University of California Berkeley in 1986 and subsequently returned to Hong Kong where he obtained a PhD in Physiology. He moved back to the United States in 1992 and received his medical degree and postgraduate residency training at Jefferson Medical College and University Hospital in Philadelphia. Between 1999 and 2002, Dr. Lee was a fellow in the Hematology-Oncology program at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Upon completion of his fellowship, he accepted a faculty position as Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA where he remained until 2005 at which time he decided to leave academia to assume the position of a Clinical Research Director at Amgen Pharmaceutical. In September of 2008, Dr. Lee joined the Tower Cancer Research Foundation as the Associate Medical Director and became the Acting Medical Director in June 2010.
